Darn Good Winemakers Tackle Sparkling Wine Production Details in May

While sparkling wine production can be fun, it can also be a very challenging experience during its first production.

While there is no one way to manufacture a sparkling wine, there are certain production elements associated with the wine that winemakers should look for to ensure flavor, foaming, and sustainability in the bottle.

For the May 2019 session, the Darn Good Winemakers have asked to discuss sparkling wine production: from grapes to bottles. If you join the Darn Good Winemakers today, you’ll walk away with:

  • A better understanding of ideal grape chemistry parameters to produce sparkling wines with ease.
  • Best production practices for creating a base wine or cuvée that delivers optimal quality for sparkling wines.
  • When and how to properly stabilize sparkling wines.
  • A brief review of the five ways carbon dioxide is incorporated into a base wine.

Thinking about producing some sparkling wines? Join the Darn Good Winemakers today, and take a sneak peek at upcoming session topics!
