Release Date: May 23, 2025

Our second dry rosé comes from the Tavel, France region. Known for its mouthfeel, weight, and fruit, these rosé wines are quite different from the Provence rosé wine we tasted previously. Join us as we discuss rosé wine color, how to pair these rosé wines with food, and what makes a Tavel rosé a “Rosé that Delights.” Cheers!

- Will you like this wine? This is in the “Roses that Delight” category with less acidity (sourness) and more red fruit flavors. It’s a sipping-pool-side, approachable dry rosé wine. It does have substantial alcohol, so if you prefer higher alcohol wines, this is the type of rosé to try.
- Our ideas for food pairings with this wine:
- Shellfish
- Oysters
- Crab
- Sea Scallops
- Ahi Tuna Steak
- Sushi
- Rosé for Thanksgiving Meal
- Roasted Chicken
- Deli Sandwich (Turkey Sandwich)
- Hummus
- In this episode, we talked about rosé wine color and varies styles of rosé wines. If you’d like to read more about rosé wine, please read our past Sip & Swirl edition, “Everything’s Coming Up Rosé.”

We love to talk about tasting wine on this podcast. Please remember that our podcast is about wine appreciation and education, but that we both support and encourage responsible alcohol consumption. Additionally, both of us are winemaking professionals, so we do not get paid for tasting wine. All opinions expressed here on our podcast are those of ours alone.
